Model 1 was adjusted for age, sex, birth weight, history of breast-feeding, residential area, paternal education, SES. Model 2 was adjusted as for model 1 plus maternal IQ (using the same subset).
Figure 1Adjusted mean WISC Vocabulary score estimated by MEHP (A) and DEHP metabolites (B) quartiles of ln creatinine (Cr)-corrected urine concentrations. Adjusted means differed significantly between the second and fourth quartiles and between the third and fourth quartiles of ln creatinine-corrected MEHP and ln creatinine-corrected DEHP metabolites for boys (p < 0.05). Among girls, there were no significant associations between these variables. Estimated means are adjusted for age, sex, birth weight, history of breast-feeding, residential area, paternal education, SES, and maternal IQ. Error bars are SEs.
