Abstract
The authors present the case of a 21-month-old girl with a posterior cervical subcutaneous/spinal lipoma that contained heterotopic bone. The patient demonstrated no neurological deficits and the lesion was resected without complication. The lesion was determined to be an ossifying lipoma. The literature on ossifying lipomas and osteolipomas is reviewed and the differences between the two are enumerated.Entities:
