Abstract
Soft tissue pain is, by default, an entity of most of the other structures in the body besides bone. This includes muscle, fascia, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, synovium, fibrous capsules, organs, and nerves. Soft tissue pain is often overlooked because it is not as easy to diagnose as pain involving bony structures. However, soft tissue pain can be just as debilitating as pain from bony structures. Treatment of soft tissue pain includes a variety of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic techniques, and these are discussed in this article. Copyright 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.Entities:
