Abstract
Revision of the femoral component in a failed total hip arthroplasty can be difficult, tedious, and destructive to the patient's femur. This is particularly true in cases of severe osteolysis or revision of previous revisions. A technique is described whereby visualization of the femoral canal is obtained by subtrochanteric osteotomy. This technique may be useful in selected cases of hip revision.Entities:
