Suppression of PF6- intercalation into graphite by small amounts of ethylene carbonate in activated carbon/graphite capacitors.

Ethylene carbonate molecules in electrolyte solutions can bind tightly with PF(6)(-) anions, and prevent the intercalation of these anions into the interlayer spaces of graphite positive electrodes in activated carbon/graphite capacitors.
