Abstract

Bilateral pulmonary vein isolation along with amputation of the left atrial appendage has become a well-recognized technique for the management of atrial fibrillation. We describe our multidisciplinary approach to minimally invasive bilateral pulmonary vein isolation, left atrial appendage resection, and ablation of autonomic ganglia. 2010 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
