Abstract
The shear modulus and elastic limit in shear were determined for a number of polymers of clinical interest, using a static torsion method. In particular, ultra-high modulus polyethylene was studied as a function of draw ratio, and compared with corresponding Young's modulus data. Materials of high shear moduli of potential clinical value are described.Entities:
