Abstract
The history of a patient with lateral (sigmoid) sinus thrombosis is described. The diagnosis was confirmed by contrast-enhanced computed cranial tomography demonstrating the empty delta sign as characteristic manifestation of cerebral sinovenous thrombosis. Specific and nonspecific abnormalities on computed cranial tomography in cerebral sinovenous occlusive disease are discussed.Entities:
