Abstract
We report a child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who developed primary cutaneous mucormycosis at the site of lumbar puncture during induction chemotherapy. Though high mortality rates are reported with invasive mucormycosis, prompt biopsy, early identification and antifungal therapy using a combination regime of amphotericin-B and rifampicin along with extensive surgical debridement led to complete cure of the lesions in the index case.Entities:
