Abstract

Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is a rare disorder that can cause ischemic stroke. We present a patient with middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion resulting from HES. Transarterial thrombolysis resulted in MCA recanalization and adjuvant therapy may have contributed to stabilization of the underlying HES in our patient. Copyright 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
