Cysticercosis cellulosae. An unusual cause of a labial swelling.

Abstract

A case of cysticercosis cellulosae presenting as an isolated swelling of the labial mucosa, clinically diagnosed as a mucocele, is described. The important implications of such a diagnosis are discussed along with a resumé of the natural history of Taenia solium, the pork tapeworm.
