Abstract
High levels of c-Myc in mouse 3T3-L1 cells specifically suppress the expression of three collagen genes. This effect is exerted through collagen promoter sequences and requires the leucine zipper motif of c-Myc. Our data suggest that an important aspect of c-Myc transforming activity is the ability to suppress specific cellular gene transcription.Entities:
