Abstract
The demonstration of a strong effect of male circumcision on reducing HIV acquisition has provided impetus for this intervention to be adopted more widely in areas of the world where HIV prevalence is high and rates of male circumcision are low. This perspective reviews recent research findings and provides a summary of progress in various countries.Mesh:
