Abstract
Primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus is an extremely rare, but highly aggressive, tumor. The prognosis for primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus remains dismal in most literatures. We report here a case of primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus that was treated by surgical resection and, additionally, followed by chemotherapy. The clinical features, treatment, pathological findings, and prognosis are analyzed and the literature of primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus is reviewed.Entities:
