The dangers of using Google as a diagnostic aid.

Peter Black.

Abstract

A bit better than tossing a coin. That's the odds of Google searches revealing the correct diagnosis. A study by Tang and Ng (2006), to determine how often searching with Google leads to the correct diagnosis, found that in 15 cases (out of 26) it was correct.
