Magnetic resonance imaging characterization of a mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma of the kidney detected incidentally during an ectopic pregnancy.

Mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma is an extremely rare variant of renal cell carcinoma, with only 47 cases reported previously. To our knowledge, this is the first time that contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging reconstructive appearances and characteristics of this tumor have been published. This tumor presented incidentally in a 35-year-old woman with an ectopic pregnancy. 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
