Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents of the flower of Paulownia fortunei.
METHODS: The constituents were isolated by column chromatography and their structures were elucidated through spectroscopic analysis.
RESULTS: The compounds were identified as: apigenin (I), luteolin (II), Hesperetin (III), Naringenin-7-O-beta-D-glucoside (IV), Arbutin (V), 4-hydroxybenzyl-beta-D-glucoside (VI), abscisic acid (VII) and 1-acetoxy-3-hydroxypropan-2-yl-3-hydroxypentanoate (VIII).
