Abstract
The peptide pyroGlu-Gln-Gly-Ser-Asn, recently isolated from mouse liver, inhibited DNA synthesis and proliferation in vitro of MH1C1 cells, a rat clonal strain derived from a Morris transplantable hepatoma. Both the biological peptide isolated from mouse liver and the synthetic homolog showed bell-shaped dose-response curves. Maximal inhibition (approximately 50%) was observed at two separate dose ranges: one at 10(-7)-10(-10) M, and one at 10(-14)-10(-15) M.Entities:
