Abstract
The production of the monocyte chemoattractant MCP-1 suggests a common mechanism for the recruitment of monocytes/macrophages and provides an explanation for monocyte/macrophage infiltration frequently observed in solid tumors. The regulated production of MCP-1 by non-transformed cells further substantiates the suggestion that MCP-1 is an important inflammatory mediator and is involved in the recruitment of monocytes in a number of pathologic or physiologic conditions.Entities:
