Abstract
Gingivitis in the preschool child is uncommon and is usually associated with underlying systemic disease such as leukemias, neutropenias, and other immunologic defects. This report describes gingival hyperplasia in a preschool child with aplastic anemia and highlights the need to exclude systemic disease in children with periodontal disease.Entities:
