Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The educational objectives for this self-assessment module are for the participant to exercise, self-assess, and improve his or her understanding of the safe use of iodinated and gadolinium contrast and to know the standards of practice regarding their use in the pregnant and lactating patient.
CONCLUSION: The activities in this article guide the participant to more safely administer intravenous contrast agents to pregnant and lactating patients.
