Abstract
Gadolinium was first introduced in 1988 for use in magnetic resonance imaging. The safety of gadolinium chelates is well established with lower frequency of adverse reactions than non-ionic iodinated contrast media; however, serious adverse reactions can occur. We report a rare case of anaphylaxis after intravenous administration of gadopentetate dimeglumine (Magnevist), used for magnetic resonance imaging.Entities:
