Abstract
The changing face of tuberculosis, with epidemics fueled by HIV and urbanization in much of the world and a relative increase in the importance of latent tuberculosis as a source of cases in the more economically developed countries, has led to a demand for more robust, clinically applicable diagnostic tools. As a result, research aiming to identify biomarkers of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and disease has flourished. This article discusses the most recent findings of that work.Entities:
