Abstract
We describe a 69-year-old female farmer with diabetes mellitus who developed subcutaneous infection due to a plant pathogen, Corynespora cassiicola. The organism was identified based on characteristic morphotypes and confirmed by sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions. The patient was treated successfully with amphotericin B therapy. Copyright 2009 The British Infection Society. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.Entities:
