Abstract
During the last 15 years, there have been numerous advancements in the development of antiretroviral drug therapies for people with HIV/AIDS. More drugs and more classes of drugs are now available to treat the disease, and they have fewer side effects than older therapies. This article provides an overview of the current management guidelines for HIV infection in adults in the United States. It also highlights the rationale behind HIV treatment, including when to start it, what therapies to use, and details about key drugs and regimens.Entities:
