STUDIES ON THE SUBMAXILLARY VIRUS OF GUINEA PIGS : I. THE EFFECT OF DUCT LIGATION AND PILOCARPINE ADMINISTRATION UPON THE CELLULAR RESPONSE TO THE VIRUS.

G H Scott1.

Abstract

The development in the submaxillary glands of guinea pigs ol intranuclear inclusions traceable to submaxillary virus can be wholly suppressed by ligation of the gland ducts. Inclusions appear in fai greater numbers in glands stimulated with pilocarpine than is the case in ordinary spontaneous and induced infections.
