Abstract
The introduction of Bacillus typhosus into the hanging drop of a tissue culture of the intestine of a chick embryo leads to the rapid vacuolation of the cells of the tissues which comprise the growth of the cultures. The cells of the connective tissue, the endodermal membrane, the mesothelium, and also the clasmatocytes exhibit the ability to ingest Bacillus typhosus in the cultures.Entities:
