From NHC-->germylenes to stable NHC-->germanone complexes.

Abstract

The unique isolable N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-->germanone complexes and were synthesised and structurally characterised, starting from the corresponding NHC-germylene precursors and through straightforward oxygenation with N(2)O.
