Abstract

Certain laryngeal procedures require a sedated patient who is responsive to allow for the assessment of vocalization. Dexmedetomidine as a single agent for sedation and anxiolysis for awake laryngoplasty in a patient with unilateral vocal fold paralysis is presented.
