Abstract
Situs inversus totalis represents a complete mirror image anatomy of the normal arrangement of the thoracic and abdominal viscera. This rare condition may pose possible surgical problems due to anatomical abnormality. There were few reports of surgical treatment for lung cancer patient with situs inversus totalis. In this case report, we describe a 74-year-old patient with situs inversus totalis and primary lung cancer who underwent successful left upper lobectomy and systemic lymph node dissection. For this rare condition, detail preoperative evaluation of mirror image anatomy with computed tomography and bronchofiber optic examination was thought to be a key to carry out safe operative procedure.Entities:
