Nanoparticles: A personal experience for formulating poorly water soluble drugs.

Eugene R Cooper1.

Abstract

This short paper is a personal account of the development of techniques to enhance the bioavailability of a series of poorly soluble drugs by particle size reduction to the nanometer size range. This is a nanotechnological approach which has come of age and has had a practical impact on drug delivery. The drug is in effect the nanosystem. Copyright 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
