Treatment with Ionising Radiation damages tumor as well as normal tissue round. Radiation pneumonitis and pneumofibrosis can occur as a side effect of radiation therapy for lung cancer.The treatment of radiation pneumonitis depends on the degree of pathological process. To achieve full recovery after development of radiation pneumonitis is a bootless effort; efforts should be taken to prevent the damage.
