Abstract
BACKGROUND: Many studies have shown that colon cancer is an estrogen-dependent carcinoma. This study explored the efficacy of endocrine therapy in colon cancer cells with high metastatic potential (HT29). Figure 2Effect of each drug on apoptosis in HT29 colon cancer cells. The ratio of apoptotic cells increased in dose-dependent manner which were measured in HT29 cells treated with combined drugs (12.5 μM 5-FU with each dose of TAM), TAM and 5-FU, respectively.
