Abstract
The diagnosis of congenital tuberculosis (TB) is often difficult as clinical signs are nonspecific. The maternal history of TB therefore remains an important tool in the diagnosis of congenital TB. In this case report, we present a patient with congenital TB, whose diagnosis was delayed because the mother was asymptomatic and there was a delay in eliciting a family history of TB. This highlights the importance of obtaining a detailed history on admission.Entities:
