Psychosexual problems of infertile women in India.

U N Jindal1, G I Dhall.

Abstract

Female partners of 200 infertile couples have been interviewed for psychosexual problems. There were 105 women who complained of one sexual problem or more. Decreased frequency of intercourse and anorgasmia in wife were the most common problems identified. A significant number of husbands considered the testing of semen along with scheduled coitus to be a problem. These problems appear to be related to the feeling of being infertile rather than any social or personal factors, such as age, education, or income. The majority of the women welcomed this in-depth interview for sexual problems.
