INTRODUCTION: Cancer may affect the central nervous system either by primary or secondary brain tumours (PBT/SBT). Specific needs of these patients and special requirements of services caring for them have not been adequately addressed so far.Entities:

| Level I | Support is necessary for at least two activities in the areas of personal hygiene, nutrition and mobility (at least once a day) as well as housekeeping (at least several times a week) with an overall average duration of at least 90 min/day |
| Level II | Support is necessary at least three times a day with an overall average duration of at least 3 h/day |
| Level III | Support is necessary around the clock including nights with an overall average duration of at least 5 h/day |
| Level III+ | Cases of hardship with exceptionally high need for support |
