Abstract
Osteoporosis is a chronic disease with an enormous impact on health care costs. Approximately 8 Mio. people are affected in Germany. A reasonable part of them is suffering from acute and/or chronic pain due to osteoporotic bone fractures and musculoskeletal malfunctioning. Therefore, pain therapy is based on the principles of acute pain treatment and chronic pain therapy.Drug effects and side effects have to be considered with respect to fracture healing, bone mineral density and fracture risk.Entities:
