Lou Etta Hicks1, Norma Wood.

Abstract

Depression and suicide are significant problems encountered by home health clinicians caring for older, homebound individuals. Mr. F. was an 85-year-old retired police officer who was assessed to be at significant risk for suicide after his wife's death. The following case study outlines the Home Based Primary Care team's successful interdisciplinary treatment plan to reduce Mr. F.'s suicide risk.
