Persistent fifth aortic arch in a patient with a history of intrauterine thalidomide exposure.

Seth Kligerman1, Andre Blum, Suhny Abbara.

Abstract

Persistence of the fifth aortic arch is a very rare congenital anomaly often associated with various other congenital cardiac and aortic abnormalities. It is important to be aware of this anomaly and not confuse it with other aortic pathology. Copyright (c) 2009 Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Published by Elsevier Inc.
