Abstract
Lemierre syndrome is usually caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum, but we recently encountered a case due to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and complicated by sigmoid sinus thrombosis and cranial neuropathies. Therapy may be made more difficult by unusual organisms and also create the need for therapy that penetrates into the central nervous system.Entities:
