Arthroscopic evaluation of traumatic injuries to the ankle and foot. Part II: Chronic posttraumatic pain.

R O Lundeen1.

Abstract

Arthroscopic evaluation of major injuries to the lower extremities is receiving more attention in medicine, as techniques become increasingly sophisticated. The following discussion serves as the second of a two-part series reviewing this interesting topic. Part I appeared in the November-December, 1989, issue of The Journal of Foot Surgery, and evaluated acute injuries of the foot and ankle. Part II concentrates on management and recognition of chronic posttraumatic pain.
