Abstract
The autoradiographic distribution and density of specific binding sites for the PAF receptor antagonist [3H]-WEB 2086 was assessed in non-diseased and asthmatic human lung and in guinea-pig airway tissue. In general, only very low levels of specific binding were detected in these tissues with no evidence for PAF receptors in airway smooth muscle. Asthma does not appear to involve significantly increased airway PAF receptor expression.Entities:
