Abstract
BACKGROUND: Neuropsychological deficits have been reported in association with first-episode psychosis (FEP). Reductions in grey matter (GM) volumes have been documented in FEP subjects compared to healthy controls. Comparison of the three groups (first-episode psychosis group versus control subjects; schizophrenia subgroup versus control subjects; affective psychosis subgroup versus control subjects) on sociodemographic variables was performed with t tests, chi-square analyses.
