Localization of the micturition reflex center at dorsolateral pontine tegmentum of the rat.

K Satoh1, N Shimizu, M Tohyama, T Maeda.

Abstract

Various electrolytic lesions have been made to elucidate the 'micturition reflex center' at the rat dorsolateral pontine tegmentum. The bilateral lesion occupying the caudal part of nucleus tegmentalis laterodorsalis (TLD)( *) caused the urinary disorders. However, they could not be observed after the bilateral destruction of locus coeruleus.
