[Pregnancy and heart valve disease].

Rheumatic valve diseases are still a frequently encountered problem in developing countries. Valve disease has a high morbidity and mortality rate in pregnant patients. In this review the diagnosis, management and follow-up of the pregnant women with various valvular heart diseases are discussed.
