Abstract
Venous thromboembolic disease continues to be a serious complication of total-hip arthroplasty. The use of anticoagulant drugs for preventing this complication has repeatedly been proven to be useful. This article reviews the current evidence-based recommendations for anticoagulant prophylaxis after total-hip arthroplasty and provides insight into the current areas of active research and controversy.Entities:
