Abstract
SUMMARY: This article discusses common pediatric skin and subcutaneous lesions grouped into three categories: cysts, pits, and tumors. Vascular malformations and hemangiomas are covered elsewhere in this supplement and are not discussed here. In addition, only benign tumors that typically present to the plastic surgeon are mentioned. In a minority of cases, further investigation, in the form of imaging or biopsy, will be required to establish the diagnosis and allow appropriate management. In this article, the authors concentrate on the relevant information required to triage and treat these conditions.Entities:
