Abstract
Herein we have reported the case of a man with chronic autoimmune thrombocytopenia (AITP) refractory to conventional therapy who underwent T-cell-depleted autologous peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) transplantation. A complete, steroid-independent, platelet remission was obtained, but unfortunately he subsequently relapsed after 3 months. Finally, we administered human adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AMSC) with resolution to the AITP.Entities:
