Abstract
External auditory canal atresia (EACA) may arise as a congenital deformity, or as sequel to external auditory canal trauma. Diagnosis of EACA was made in this 3-year-old cat by video otoscopy and computed tomography. Successful treatment of congenital segmental EACA was achieved, using end-to-end anastomosis. Primary anastomosis should be considered for treatment of both acute and chronic separation of the annular and auricular cartilages, as well as congenital EACA in the cat.Entities:
