First in man use of the Advanta trademark V12 ePTFE-coated stent in aortic coarctation.

Hafiz Hussein1, Kevin Walsh.

Abstract

The treatment of aortic coarctation has classically been surgery, but recent advances have seen the increasing adoption of percutaneous catheter based techniques to correct this problem. We describe a first in man use catheter technique with the Advanta ePTFE coated stent via a 9Fr access. Copyright 2009 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
